In the past, this museum was originally an old building built in the French colonial style. The house has 2 storeys and 2 separate stairways. It was initially named Phu Khanh Museum (Phu Khanh was the former name of Khanh Hoa Province).

The other stele is called Cam Thinh Dong, discovered in Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province.

Some remarkable relics include the collection of stone axes and stone jewelry of Xom Con Culture (dating 3,500 years ago), Nha Trang Bronze Drum (dating 2,000 years ago), and Champa stone sculptures (dating from the 9th to 14th centuries). In addition, there are different types of ancient coins dating from the 9th to 18th centuries, pottery products dating to the 19th century, and a collection of Vietnamese weaponry.
