The 2025 International Lantern Festival is Vietnam’s first international lantern festival, hosted at Ocean City, renowned as Vietnam’s most livable urban area. The festival offers an incredible experience combining dining, entertainment, and shopping with 1,000 food & retail spots and 580 exciting activities.

This mega festival runs for 58 days, featuring 5 participating countries and expecting 2 million visitors. Ocean City Lantern Festival boasts an impressive 20-hectare event space, featuring Vietnam’s longest lantern road at 2 kilometers, 26 giant lantern clusters, and the largest collection of lanterns over 5 meters in size.

Experience the Yuyuan Garden Artistic Lantern Exhibition

The Ocean City Lantern Festival showcases exceptional “intangible cultural heritage” works, bringing together the world’s leading lantern artisans. This year features the Yuyuan Group – known for bringing the mythical Shan Hai Jing to illuminate Paris, the City of Light, in early 2024. In 2025, Yuyuan Group brings to Ocean City an impressive exhibition theme: “Mystical Creatures of the East – Linh Nam Chich Quai & Shan Hai Jing.”

The “Linh Nam Chich Quai (Selection of Strange Tales in Lingnan) & Shan Hai Jing” exhibition is a unique art installation depicting Eastern mythology through light and color. The exhibition gateway opens to a mythological world of ancient divine creatures including dragons, golden turtles, white dragons, flying fish, lushu deer, and dragon fish. With 16 masterpiece lanterns, including a giant 20m long and 12m high installation and a divine tree spanning over 14m, the Yu Garden exhibition promises a spectacular feast of lights.
