Hang Ma Street, located in Hoan Kiem District, spans 339 meters and is situated within Hang Ma Ward. It is approximately 800 meters northwest of Hoan Kiem Lake. To the east, it borders the intersection of Hang Duong Street – Dong Xuan Street and connects to Hang Chieu Street. To the west, it borders Phung Hung Street.

Hang Ma Street in Hanoi has a rich history originating from the merging of Vinh Hanh Village and Yen Phu Village, separated by the To Lich River, which was gradually filled in over time. During the French colonial era, the street was known as Rue du Cuivre. It retained its local name as Hang Ma Street on the eastern side, where shops run by families from Tan Khai Village sold colored paper for decoration and small ceremonial items.

From Hoan Kiem Lake, make your way to Dinh Tien Hoang Street and proceed until you reach the intersection of Hang Ngang Street – Hang Dao Street. This will guide you onto Hang Ngang Street, where you will find yourself amidst the lively commerce of Hanoi. Follow Hang Ngang Street until you reach Hang Ma Street. 

Alternatively, you can catch buses number 01, 31, or 34, all of which stop on Hang Luoc Street. From there, it is just a short walk to Hang Ma Street.
