Hue Night Walking Street is near Perfume River and Trang Tien Bridge in the center of the city. Although referred to as a single pedestrian street, Hue Night Walking Street actually consists of three streets: Pham Ngu Lao, Vo Thi Sau, and Chu Van An. 

Locals and visitors can come here on Fridays and weekends at 6 PM. It stays open until 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, but on Sundays, it closes at midnight. 

Decorated with trees, flower beds, and lights, the street is a highlight for the south bank of Perfume River. 

2. How to get to Hue Night Walking Street?

Hue Night Walking Street is located on the city’s main streets, so it is not difficult to get there. You can head to Le Loi Street, then from there, go to Doi Cung Street and make a right to arrive at the pedestrian street.  

If you are not familiar with the streets, you can grab a taxi and tell the driver to drop you at Hue Night Walking Street. It is a popular tourist attraction, so the driver will have no problem getting you there. 

But remember to specify that you want to visit the pedestrian street consisting of Pham Ngu Lao, Vo Thi Sau, and Chu Van An streets. There is another Hue Walking Street on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, so the driver might take you there instead.

3. Where to stop by on Hue Night Walking Street?

3.1. Lan Kwai Fong Restaurant

This is a Hong Kong restaurant that not only serves good food but also offers a lively atmosphere for nighttime fun. It is decorated with colorful neon lights and Kanji signs, so guests can feel like they are in Hong Kong themselves.

3.2. Mau Dich No.17 Store

• Opening Hours: 7 AM to 10 PM
• Price Range: 25,000 VND – 135,000 VND

This is a small place with Vietnamese-style decorations and a homey vibe. You can come here with your friends to enjoy inexpensive but tasty dishes and listen to soft music. 

3.3. Ta Vet Pub

• Address: 11 Vo Thi Sau Street, Phu Hoi  
• Opening Hours: 5 PM to 2 AM
• Price Range: 30,000 VND – 150,000 VND

If you like Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, this is one of the best places to visit in Hue. Even though the space is simply decorated, it is very spacious and has a lot to offer. Ta Vet Pub often arranges music events for guests to enjoy.

3.4. Taboo Pub

• Address: 16 Vo Thi Sau street, Phu Hoi  
• Opening Hours: 7 AM to 11 PM
• Price Range: 12,000 VND – 150,000 VND

This is a large space with a yard and skylight, offering guests a panoramic view of the city. With two floors, there are plenty of spots for guests to sit and enjoy their night. 

The highlight of Taboo Pub is the decorative van on the second floor. Most guests spend a lot of time posing by it to get impressive shots for social media. 

The staff here is very welcoming and friendly, so rest assured that the service will be excellent. 

Every Friday and Saturday, there will be live music performances between 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM. But note that these come with a surcharge. 

3.5. 2 Ahjussi Pub

• Address: 18 Pham Ngu Lao Street, Phu Hoi  
• Opening Hours: 4:30 PM to midnight
• Price Range: 50,000 VND – 200,000 VND

This is a two-story Korean-style pub similar to those in Itaewon. On the first floor, guests can choose to sit inside or outside. It is a bit crowded, especially on the weekends. But this just proves that it is well-adored by many. 

The second floor provides some more privacy. It is decorated with eye-catching neon lights, and there is even a pool table. If you like Korean drinks and dishes, you will love it here. There is a rather large menu for you to choose from.

3.6. Vinh Lac Tran Chinese Restaurant

• Address: 23 Chu Van An Street, Phu Hoi  
• Opening Hours: 9 AM to midnight
• Price Range: 20,000 VND – 120,000 VND

This restaurant is located in the middle of the crowded pedestrian street, but it is very spacious. You will not have to worry about feeling cramped when dining here. 

The space is decorated to look like ancient China with colored lanterns and porcelain items, giving guests a poetic setting to get lost in.

3.7. 912 Factory Restaurant

• Address: 38 Chu Van An Street, Phu Hoi  
• Opening Hours: 6 PM to 1 AM
• Price Range: 12,000 VND – 100,000 VND 

This is another trendy two-story place with tasty bites and quality beer. As suggested in the name, it is decorated to resemble a factory. The industrial theme makes it fantastic for Instagram shots! 

On the second floor, you can sit and sip with a great view. The prices are also reasonable given the size of the portions. Besides alcoholic beverages, you can order light snacks, such as fried chicken cartilage and boneless chicken feet. There is no better place on Hue Night Walking Street for nighttime fun.

4. Tasty street foods to try on Hue Night Walking Street

There are many inexpensive but delicious Hue specialties that you should not miss out on while strolling through Hue Night Walking Street. 

• Grilled Corn: Topped with scallion oil, this is a simple but surprisingly tasty street food. Before having a bite and experiencing the sweet taste, you will have already been allured by its smoky scent. Grilled corn is particularly fulfilling when the weather is chilly. 

• “Bridge Foot” Bread: As you can probably guess from the name, this snack is found at the foot of a bridge. More specifically, the Truong Tien Bridge. It is loved by both locals and tourists. The best part about it is the included rich, fragrant pâté. 

• Banh Beo: This is a savory type of steamed cake eaten on small plates. Hue is actually this dish’s birthplace. So, there is no better spot in Vietnam to get an authentic taste of Banh Beo. 

• Sweet Soup: Sweet soup is definitely something you must try before leaving Hue. There are many types for you to try, from ones made with bananas to those with areca flowers. You can enjoy hot sweet soup when it is cold, and cold sweet soup when it is hot. 

• Mussel Rice: If you are looking for something more filling, mussel rice is your best bet. This is a Hue specialty that looks simple but is really not. There are over 10 different ingredients in a bowl, and your mouth will be rewarded with all sorts of flavors, from sweet and buttery to spicy and sour. 

• Mussel Porridge: This is another item with mussels as the main ingredient. It is served hot, making it best for cold nights. If you are venturing  down Hue Night Walking Street with your little ones, you should certainly give mussel porridge a try.
