1. Where is Do Quyen Waterfall?
Do Quyen Waterfall is located in Bach Ma National Park, Phu Loc Commune, Thua Thien Hue Province. It is the source of one of the two main branches that form the poetic Perfume River in Hue. The waterfall is approximately 300 meters tall, cascading day and night down steep rocky cliffs amidst a lush forest. Its name comes from the blooming of surrounding azalea flowers in spring. 2. How to get to Do Quyen Waterfall?
To get to the waterfall, tourists can travel by motorbike or car from Hue or Da Nang to Bach Ma National Park, then embark on a challenging but exciting Do Quyen Waterfall hike to reach the waterfall’s peak.
- From Hue to Bach Ma National Park: Follow National Road 1A south towards Da Nang until you reach Ly Thanh Tong Road in Phu Loc Commune. Keep going for a short distance and you will see a junction that has a sign with the park’s logo. Turn right onto Tran Dinh Tuc Road to reach the entrance of the park.
- From Da Nang to Bach Ma National Park: Follow National Road 1A north towards Hue, cross Hai Van Pass, and you will reach the other side of Ly Thanh Tong Road in Phu Loc Commune. Turn left onto Tran Dinh Tuc Road to reach the park’s entrance.
From the entrance, follow Yen Stream, pass by Ngu Ho Lakes, and hike along a winding, rugged path for about 45 minutes to reach this majestic waterfall.
