Located about 40 km away from Hanoi’s center, the palace is relatively easy to reach. Visitors have several transport options, including cars, motorbikes, and buses. Here is how you can get there:
- By bus: Take bus 07 from Cau Giay to Me Linh Plaza. Transfer to bus 64 and ride to Xom Nui 1. From Xom Nui 1, it is a short walk to Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace.
- By motorbike/car: Make your way to the Thang Long – Noi Bai expressway and go towards Noi Bai Airport. At the intersection between the expressway and National Road 2, turn right onto the road towards Vinh Yen. Go straight for about 2 km until you see the sign for Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace. Turn right and continue for another 7 km to the second sign for the palace. Turn right again and go for about 500 meters to reach the palace.

2. How was Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace built?
Thanh Chuong is one of the leading figures in contemporary Vietnamese painting. Known as an art prodigy since the age of seven, he quickly became a best-selling artist during Vietnam’s reformation period. Before creating Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace, he spent over 40 years immersing himself in the study of architecture, sculptures, gardens, pavilions, well ponds, and traditional furniture.
Built in 2001, the palace is the culmination of Thanh Chuong’s lifelong dedication to Vietnamese culture. 3.1. Tran Quoc Tuan Temple
This temple was built to commemorate Tran Quoc Tuan, a general renowned for his leadership in three resistance wars against the Mongol army. The temple features an ancient statue of Tran Quoc Tuan, which dates back about 200 years.
3.2. The Temple of Mother Goddess
The Temple of Mother Goddess at Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace is dedicated to Mother Goddess worship, one of Vietnam’s most traditional folk beliefs.
