Head south-east from Hue city center and cross Truong Tien Bridge. Turn right onto Le Loi Street and take a right turn onto Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street. The pedestrian street should be 30 meters away from where you are.

3.1. The first area

The first area of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Walking Street, spanning from Phu Xuan Bridge to Phuong Nam Bookstore, is popular for its sheer number of eateries serving local dishes like bun bo Hue (beef noodle soup), com hen (baby clam rice), and banh khoai (Hue crispy pancake). Its glorious views over Perfume River and a variety of food stalls offer a slice of Hue’s rich culinary culture. 

3.2. The second area

Nguyen Dinh Chieu Walking Street’s second area spans from Phuong Nam Bookstore to Trang Tien Bridge. This is the heart of the pedestrian street, where most of the activities take place. The area features several souvenir shops stocking beautiful handcrafted goods made by local artisans. 

However, the merchandise is only half the charm. Street performances given by locals, artists, and circus performers magnify the liveliness and add to the vibrance of Hue’s nighttime culture.

The third and last area of the pedestrian street runs from Trang Tien Bridge to Toa Kham Wharf. It is popular with local couples, who often come to take a stroll along the riverside together. This is also where dance groups and guitar clubs organize their meets.

There are a few food stalls dotting the nearby Le Loi Street, selling locally-sourced food like corn on the cob, sweet potatoes, and dried squid.
