1.3. Thien Cung Cave

Thien Cung Cave (Heavenly Palace Cave) is one of the most famous caves on the Ha Long Bay map. Luon Cave is a unique tunnel-like cave in the Bo Hon island cluster. Its flooded floor creates a natural passage connecting the sea to a lagoon surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. The only way to explore this cave is by bamboo boat or kayak. Visitors may even spot the local macaque monkeys, which are often seen playing along the rocky shores.

1.5. Trinh Nu Cave

Also located in the Bo Hon island cluster in Ha Long Bay, Trinh Nu Cave has a long history, believed to date back 4,500 years ago. Archaeological evidence such as broken pottery and ancient shells suggests the cave was part of a settlement. Legend has it that the cave is tied to the tale of a young woman who turned to stone, which symbolizes eternal love.

1.6. Bo Nau Cave

Bo Nau Cave is one of the earliest discovered caves on the Ha Long Bay map, featuring stunning views from its entrance. Photos taken inside the cave often capture the beautiful contrast of limestones, green mountains, and blue seas. This cave was a popular spot for French photographers in the early 20th century, and its scenery continues to draw nature lovers today.

1.7. Me Cung Cave

Me Cung Cave is a treasure trove of history. It is believed to have been inhabited by the ancient Soi Nhu people between 18,000 and 7,000 years ago. 1.8. Trong Cave

Trong Cave lies directly across from Trinh Nu Cave. This archaeological site also belongs to the Soi Nhu culture. Visitors can still observe ancient sediment layers and shells near the cave’s two entrances. It is best known for the echoing sounds of the wind passing through its rocky crevices, creating drum-like reverberations that enhance its mystical atmosphere.

2. Islands and islets on the Ha Long Bay map

2.1. Ti Top Island

Ti Top Island, one of Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful islands, lies just 7-8 kilometers southeast of Bai Chay Tourist Area. The island features a steep cliff on one side and a sloping beach on the other. Trong Mai Islet consists of two small rocks, each standing 12 meters tall and facing the other like a pair of roosters – hence its nickname, the “Fighting Cocks Islet.” Amidst the picturesque surroundings, the two “roosters” face each other as if they are in an eternal embrace.

2.3. Xep Islet

2.4. Cho Da Islet

Cho Da Islet stands 8 meters tall at the base of a mountain, close to the water’s edge and resembling a giant dog. In the past, when fishing villages thrived in Ha Long Bay, the locals believed this rocky formation symbolized protection for the community.

2.5. Dinh Huong Islet

Dinh Huong Islet lies in the Ba Hang area. Shaped like an incense burner, this islet reveals its eroded base during low tide, a testament to millions of years of marine erosion typical of Ha Long Bay’s limestone karsts. During high tide, the base is submerged, and Dinh Huong Islet appears.

2.6. Muoi Nam Islet

Muoi Nam Islet, also known as “Finger Islet,” is named for its shape, which resembles a giant thumb pointing skyward. Like many of Ha Long Bay’s other unique karst formations, Muoi Nam Islet offers tourists a picturesque spot for memorable photos on the Ha Long Bay map.

In contrast, Ang Cong Do spans approximately 0.5 hectares. It can be accessed through Cong Do Cave during low tide or by climbing a 10-meter-high rock wall.
