3. How to get to Thung Nham Bird Park in Ninh Binh?
From Hanoi to Ninh Binh, to reach Thung Nham Bird Park, travelers can either go by motorbike or coach.
- By coach: From Hanoi, you can take a coach to Ninh Binh at Giap Bat Bus Station. Upon arriving at Ninh Binh Bus Station, take a motorbike taxi or taxi to the park. The coach fare to Ninh Binh ranges from 70,000 to 90,000 VND. The taxi fare from Ninh Binh Bus Station to the park is approximately 50,000 VND.
- By motorbike: From Hanoi, follow National Road 1A until you reach a large T-junction with a big signpost that says Thung Nham, then turn right. Continue past Tam Coc, heading towards Bich Dong Pagoda. Near the pagoda, there is another T-junction. Turn left following the signpost. From there, continue straight to reach Thung Nham Bird Park.

To reach Vai Gioi Cave, after passing through the entrance for 500 meters, turn right to ascend to the cave. After conquering 439 stone steps, visitors will reach the cave entrance.
- But Cave: This stone cave, measuring 500 meters in length, has beautiful rock formations resembling an old man sitting by an underground stream. The cave is dark, so visitors are advised to bring flashlights for exploration.
- Mermaid Cave: With a length of over 1,500 meters, Mermaid Cave boasts stunning limestone formations of many extraordinary shapes, resembling exquisite paintings crafted by nature. The cave has a legend about a mermaid turning into stone, hence its name.
