3. Validity of a Vietnamese visa for Australians

    • DT3: granted to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign-invested organizations in Vietnam with a capital contribution from 3 billion to less than 50 billion VND. It is valid for up to 3 years.
    • DT4: granted to foreign investors in Vietnam and representatives of foreign-invested organizations in Vietnam with a capital contribution below 3 billion VND. It is valid for up to 12 months.
  • Dependent visa: This type of visa allows the applicant to bring their family members to accompany them during their stay in Vietnam for a specific period of time. The visas of the family members are dependent on the visa of the main applicant. The dependent visa is valid for up to 12 months.
  • Working visa: This type of visa is granted to foreigners coming to work in Vietnam. It is valid for up to 2 years. In case you wish to stay in Vietnam for longer, you need to apply for a working visa with a temporary residence card, which is valid for up to 2 years.
