3. How to get to Quy Nhon City?

For those wondering where is Quy Nhon and how to get there from Hanoi, Da Nang, or Ho Chi Minh City, there are several options, including flights, trains, or buses.

3.1. By plane

To travel to Quy Nhon by plane, visitors can reach out to domestic airlines like Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Vietravel Airlines, and Bamboo Airways.

  • From Hanoi to Quy Nhon: Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air operate on this route. Ticket prices start at around 1,400,000 VND. The flight time is about 1 hour and 40 minutes. 
  • From Saigon to Quy Nhon: Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Vietravel Airlines, and Bamboo Airways all operate on this route. Ticket prices start at around 900,000 VND. The flight time is about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  • From Da Nang to Quy Nhon: There are no direct flights on this route, so travelers will need to opt for connecting flights. The point of layover will either be Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Ticket prices start at around 2,500,000 VND.

Your flight will land at Phu Cat Airport, which is approximately 35 km away from Quy Nhon’s city center. Upon landing, travelers can hop on a bus to get to the city center (1 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street), which takes around 50 minutes and costs 50,000 VND. Taxis are also available to take you for around 250,000 VND.

3.2. By train

If you prefer a more relaxed and scenic journey, opt for the train. From Hanoi, the train ride departs from Hanoi Train Station and arrives at Dieu Tri Train Station in Binh Dinh, taking about 23 hours. There are four trains daily, with ticket prices ranging from 800,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND.

From Ho Chi Minh City, the train ride departs from Saigon Train Station and takes about 11 hours. There are five trains daily, with ticket prices ranging from 400,000 VND to 2,200,000 VND.

From Da Nang, the train ride departs from Da Nang Train Station and takes about 6 hours. There are five trains daily, with ticket prices ranging from 250,000 VND to 600,000 VND.

Dieu Tri Train Station is located over 10 km away from the city center of Quy Nhon. From the train station, travelers can take a taxi, motorbike taxi, or bus to the city center.

3.3. By coach

For a balance between comfort and budget-friendliness, you can choose to travel by coach. You can either go to a bus station, buy a ticket at the counter, and enjoy the ride. Alternatively, you can reach out to a coach company, book a ticket, and arrange the pick-up point with them. The latter is the more popular option.

In Hanoi, some reputable coach companies include Anh Khuyen (hotline: 0989 596 289) and Thuan Hung (hotline: 0921 202 999). The ticket price is about 550,000 VND and the travel time is about 21 hours. 

If you are traveling from Ho Chi Minh City, it is best to leave in the evening to arrive in Quy Nhon in the morning, giving you more time to explore the city. Some reputable coach bus companies include Tuan Tu (hotline: 1900 636 607), Trong Thuy (hotline: 1900 2678), and An Phu (hotline: 1900 636 632). The ticket price is about 450,000 VND and the travel time is about 12 hours. 

In Da Nang, some reputable coach companies include Thuan Thao (hotline: 0916 004 647) and Tan Kim Chi (hotline: 1900 5151). The ticket price is about 280,000 VND and the travel time is about 7 hours.
