The journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Gio is incredibly straightforward, offering a range of convenient transportation options. To begin your adventure, simply catch a flight to Saigon if you are traveling from Hanoi, Da Nang, or other regions. From Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can choose from the following transportation options to reach Can Gio:

  • By motorbike or car

Traveling to Can Gio by motorbike or car is a popular choice for its flexibility. The route is wide, scenic, and offers spots for spontaneous photo stops. From downtown Saigon, head towards Huynh Tan Phat Street in District 7. Continue straight to reach Binh Khanh Ferry. After crossing the ferry, follow Rung Sac Road to arrive at Can Gio.

  • By bus: Visitors have the option to select one of the two following routes:
    • Take bus number 75 from September 23rd Park to Can Thanh Bus Station, passing streets like Pham Ngu Lao, De Tham, Tran Hung Dao, Ham Nghi, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Huynh Tan Phat, Sac Forest, etc. The fare is 30,000 VND, with a travel time of around 2 hours and 10 minutes. There are 6 departures daily.
    • Alternatively, from downtown Saigon, take bus number 20 towards Nha Be with a ticket priced at 6,000 VND, and get off at Binh Khanh Ferry Terminal. After a ferry journey, continue your trip by taking bus number 90 to Can Gio Coastal Village, with a ticket costing 7,000 VND.

Regardless of the transportation mode and route, visitors must take a ferry to reach Can Gio. The lowest ferry fare is 2,000 VND for pedestrians and bicycles, while the highest is 220,000 VND for tractor trucks. Motorcycles cost 4,000 VND, and cars with fewer than 7 seats are priced at 23,000 VND.
