Origin: The cores of ancient trees that spent hundreds of years in the riverbed, depositing minerals from the sediments and becoming fossils.
Features: The shapes of these wooden blocks are unique and highly artistic. This type of driftwood was soaked through mud for hundreds of years, so it has a signature dark brown color. It is a combination of wood and minerals such as quartz, Opal, Calxedon… Therefore, you will feel cool when you touch it.
Funfact: Driftwood is only found in rare and good hardwood trees or perennial species on nutrient-poor soil areas. Thanks to the hard, strong material, driftwood is difficult to rot and almost unaffected by natural conditions or termites. Hence, it’s also named the “brass and iron” wood.
