- From 1954 to 1968: The development of the Vietnamese army as reinforcement against the Americans in South Vietnam; the decline of American neocolonialism against South Vietnamese revolutionary movements.
- From 1969 to 1974: The victory of the Vietnamese people against American air raids, in particular the battle in North Vietnam in 1972, forcing the US to sign the Paris Peace Accords, resulting in the withdrawal of American soldiers from South Vietnam.
